The Maamun al-Kuzbari government was the sixty-first government in the history of modern Syria. Formed on 29 September 1961 by Decree No. 1, it was the first government established following Syria's secession from the United Arab Republic and the restoration of the Syrian Arab Republic. The cabinet was headed by Maamun al-Kuzbari, who played a leading role in the transitional political arrangements that followed the collapse of the union with Egypt.
The government was primarily tasked with re-establishing Syrian state institutions and overseeing the transition to an independent political order after more than three years of union with Egypt. As a provisional administration, it sought to restore constitutional governance and stabilise the country during a period of significant political uncertainty.
The government remained in office until 20 November 1961, when it was succeeded by a new government as part of the continuing process of political reorganisation in post-union Syria.
